India ranks 118th position out of 147 countries in the Important Index for happiness. Released in March 2025, by Wellbeing Research Centre, Oxford, this report is based on six key factors—social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and perceptions of corruption. Released on March 20, 2025, to coincide with the International Day of Happiness, it highlights global well-being trends.  This report shows an 8-position jump from 126th in 2024, signalling progress. But Finland gets first place as the happiest nation for the 8th year running, with Denmark and Iceland trailing close behind. India’s climb reflects improving life quality. and Afghanistan at last place.

Global Hunger Index 2024

Global Hunger Index 2024 published by Concern Worldwide & Welthungerhilfe, this index measures hunger at global, regional, and national levels using four indicators: undernourishment, child stunting, child wasting, and child mortality. India ranks 105th out of 125 countries. With Belarus at the top and Chad at the last place.

Global Peace Index 2024

India scored 116th out of 163 countries in the 2024 Global Peace Index, issued by the Institute for Economics and Peace it can gain from factors like violence, conflict, and militarization. Released on June 11, 2024, it provides insights into global and national stability. Iceland lead it but Yemen fails to do so.

Henley Passport Index 2025

Travel freedom is a big deal in the Important Index. India’s passport ranks 85th, according to Henley & Partners, with Singapore holding the top position and Afghanistan is at last. The index ranks passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access visa-free or with a visa on arrival. This ranking reflects visa-free access.

Global Pension Index 2024

Published by the Mercer CFA Institute, this index evaluates pension systems worldwide based on adequacy, sustainability, and integrity. It assesses how well countries provide financial security for retirees, considering factors like pension coverage, funding, and governance. while India ranks 45th with the Netherlands at the top and Argentina at the bottom.

Human Development Index 2024

It is released by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), this index measures human development by life expectancy, years of schooling and per capita income. It provides a vast view of a country’s quality of life and development progress. India ranks 134th place, with Switzerland gaining the top place and Afghanistan at last.

Economic Freedom Index 2024

Issued by the Fraser Institute, this index measures the degree of economic freedom in countries based on five areas: the size of government, legal system, property rights, sound money, and freedom to trade internationally. India ranks 84th place, with Hong Kong at the top and North Korea at the last position.

World Press Freedom Index 2024

Published by Reporters Without Borders, this index ranks countries on media independence, journalist safety, and censorship levels. It highlights press freedom as a democratic pillar. India ranks 159th place, Norway at the top place and Eritrea at last.

World Investment Report 2024

This report, issued by UNCTAD, analyses World foreign direct investment (FDI) trends, ranking countries by FDI inflows. It explores economic openness and investment climates. India ranks 15th, the USA is first, and South Sudan is last.

Global Gender Gap Index 2024

According to the World Economic Forum, gender equality is measured in four dimensions: economic participation, education, health and political empowerment released by. India ranks 129th, Iceland maintain first place and Afghanistan at last place.

Climate Change Performance Index 2025

India ranks 10th out of 63 countries in the Climate Change Performance Index 2025, issued by Germanwatch & Climate Action Network. According to this index, climate policies, emissions and renewable energy efforts of any country are assessed. Where Iran acquired last place.

Human Freedom Index 2024 published by the Cato and Fraser Institutes, India ranks 109th out of 165 countries. According to a report Switzerland at the top place were Syria at last. The Human Freedom Index measures personal, civil, and economic freedoms, including the rule of law and expression.
